  Welcome to the Department of Osteopathy

  • BASHB timetable - updated File

    BASHB timetable for all year groups is attached. Please note that clinic observation sessions will be added at the start of term. For years one and two - there will be two visits for each student in semester one; for year three visits will take place in semester two

  • MOst timetable - updated File

    Please see attached the timetable for semester one. Note that for both year groups PMCR will be slightly different than in previous years. There will be a regular 2h slot for each year group and then you will see several hours on the timetable with 'schedule to be advised' written on it. We're not planning to increase the class time, it is simply allowing some flexibility on the timetable as there will be input from different tutors.

    New 4th years - please make sure that you are available for the whole week in week one as it will be orientation, first aid etc.

  Hauora Maori Scholarships available
  Associate Health Minister Tariana Turia is encouraging Maori students to apply for Hauora Maori Scholarships to help them start or complete their studies in health related courses. The scholarships are funded under the Maori Provider Development Scheme to achieve greater participation by Maori in the health and disability workforce ensuring the delivery of health services for Maori. To be eligible students must be enrolled and attending a University, Polytechnic, Wananga or College of Education. They must be studying a health related, NZQA accredited course, be able to demonstrate a commitment to and/or competence in Maori health and well-being studies and have whakapapa and/or cultural links with te ao Maori or Maori communities.

  Applications can be completed online via the Ministry's Maori Health website (http://www.maorihealth.govt.nz) Closing date is 5 April 2013.

  • MENS HEALTH TRUST SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION - SUPPORT SESSION File
  • Todd Foundation Scholarship 2013 File

    Attached there are forms for the latest round of Todd Foundation Awards. As you may know Unitec students have a good track record of success and we usually win 3 or more awards each year. The awards are to support student research and will pay for just about anything related to the student's thesis/dissertation/research project etc. Short-listed applicants are flown to Wellington to pitch to the panel. In the past Osteo students have put in a strong showing with some Design and other students being successful as well. The key criteria are around benefits to NZ from the research.

    Please put this before your students and encourage them to apply. They have one month to do this.

  TPA will be continuing the drop-in service for students to access quick (10 minute) academic advice without having to make an appointment.

  Please be advised web re enrolment are now available for students who have passed all courses. See link below for instruction.
