To enable the student to develop and apply knowledge and skills to prepare and evaluate a tender; and complete post tender, construction and post-construction administration.
To equip the student to be able to:
Establish the clients requirements, site restrictions and initial site design possibilities; relate site possibilities with site limitations; contribute to the briefing and design concept process; present a preliminary design to a client; prepare preliminary costings; and develop a design concept into a building concept.
This course aims to enable the student to conduct and present the findings of an investigation within the context of the construction industry. It ideally seeks to build on knowledge students have acquired in other papers completed in their qualification and allows opportunities for development of previous work such as use of modelling software or introductory research and report writing techniques.
