Aim:
The purpose of this course is to enable students to examine the theoretical and practical aspects of electric drive systems in hybrid and electric vehicles.
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this course, the student will be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding at Level 6 relating to:
- Hybrid/Electric vehicle architecture.
- High voltage battery and its management systems.
- Electric motor/generator and control systems.
- High voltage safety and environmental concerns.
