The village Table: The village table is a platform to discuss, explore and celebrate all the elements of indigenous communities. Centered around critical areas of village life, we explore the importance of cultural tradition, custom and practice. Sharing the rich knowledge of communities as they face changes to their environments, via issues such as climate change, population migration, introduction to advancing technology etc.
An elective to explore the archetypes that deeply connect indigenous custom and practice into critical pieces of Architectural infrastructure. Concentrating on WASH, we explore the need for core WASH facilities, especially from the impacts of COVID-19. Through this elective we will introduce core processes of community engagement via built relationships / understanding cultural governance, Architectural traditions and changing technology, and introduce site briefs for WASH construction.
