Students will develop a confident learner identity and the art and design skills necessary for further academic study in their chosen pathway.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Develop a self-directed and systematic approach to synthesize research with practice.
- Utilise skills in drawing to generate, develop, and refine ideas.
- Demonstrate awareness of traditional and contemporary art and design practice that includes but is not limited to mātauranga Māori.
- Demonstrate the appropriate use of media to communicate with clarity and purpose.
