PeopleSoft Gradebook is a student management system storing grades; it is part of PeopleSoft which is where all information about each learner is stored, such as addresses, contact details, priority group status, enrolment, academic records, etc.

Each course has a Gradebook page. You will need to check that PeopleSoft Gradebook has been set up correctly for the assessments in your course.  The information in Gradebook should match the Couse Descriptor. The marks, weightings and names of each assessment should be the same as the Course Descriptor. Check before the course begins.  If you notice any discrepancies, talk to your SQA and your APM immediately.

Checking Gradebook is accurate for your course shows the Unitec value of guardianship, or kaitiakitanga.

Access Gradebook via the Nest. Click on the Staff portal and then select Gradebook.

It is important NOT to confuse PeopleSoft Gradebook and Moodle gradebook Some Programmes also use Moodle gradebook so that ākonga can see their assessment grades during the semester when assessments have been marked and moderated. PeopleSoft Gradebook is the official reporting tool for final grades.
