Check the Course Descriptor to find out if your course has formal exams.  Formal Examinations are identified specifically within a Programme and may comprise written, oral, and/or practical tests or events.

Ākonga must be provided with full details relating to examination dates, types, requirements, and all other relevant information at least eight weeks prior to the start of the examination period.

If the Course Descriptor specifies an exam for your course, you can check the processes for preparing the examination paper here on Te Aka/The Nest.

Examination Question Paper

The examination question papers should be compiled, formatted, moderated and proofread before uploading to the examination submissions for photocopying. You will also need to complete the exam information form and then the exam supervisor can prepare the exam.

There is an examiner's checklist on the Te Aka page which you will find useful if your course has exams.

You will need to note the exam regulations. Te Korowai Kahurangi's examination team will work with you in the spirit of mahi kotahitanga (co-operation) to ensure any exams are conducted according to the relevant regulations and policies.
